Today we visited Share and Care – an organisation set up to train people from outlying villages in the skills they need to address development issues within their communities. It was a hot day and we were all a bit exhausted, but a panel session with the students was extremely valuable to get an insight

  • Seven Women (plus a whole lot more)

For the past two days we have been getting stuck into spending some time at the Seven Women centre. This is the second centre set up by the organisation, and is in a nice part of Kathmandu surrounded by big houses on a quiet street… or as quiet as Kathmandu ever gets, anyhow. Yesterday we

  • Intensity in Kathmandu city

posted on July 1, 2013 by Lauren Coleman

We’ve all had a bit of time to settle in and explore the city now, and I think everyone is experiencing some pretty intense feelings about the place. Yesterday we really jumped in the deep end with a walk through the city to visit Dhurba square and Postpothinarth. Dhurba square sits smack in the middle
